No cookies

This site stores nothing in your browser. No cookies, no tracking, no Google Analytics.

That is why there is no banner to click away before you can read anything. We do not ask for consent, because we do nothing that requires it.

The fonts and the few scripts the site uses are served from our own server. Nothing is fetched from Google or anyone else along the way.

When you press play

The films play from Vimeo. Vimeo’s player is not loaded until you press play — until then your browser has not contacted Vimeo at all.

When you do, Vimeo sees your IP address and may set its own cookies. We ask Vimeo not to track you, but it is their player and their rules.

The same goes for the 360° tours: they load only when you open one.

The server that sends you the page

To send you a web page, our server needs to know where to send it. That is how the internet works, and it is true of every website.

We never store your full address. The server notes a shortened form that points to a network, not to a machine — and it is deleted after seven days.

We count visits, not visitors

We count how many times each page is shown, how far down the page those views get, whether they happen on a phone, tablet or computer, and how many people press play. That is all that is stored: a few numbers per page per day.

The count does not know who you are. It gives you no identifier, it does not recognise you next time, and it does not know which pages you saw before or after. There is no information about you to delete, because it was never collected.

The price of doing it this way is that we cannot say how many people have been here — only how many times the pages were shown. We are happy to pay it.

If you send us an email

Then we have your email address and what you wrote, and we keep it for as long as it is relevant to our contact. It is not used for anything else, and not shared with anyone.

Links to other places

The site links to Vimeo, LinkedIn and Facebook. Follow one of those links and you are with them, under their privacy rules — not ours.

Your rights

You have the right to know what we hold about you, to have it corrected and to have it deleted. If you have emailed us, that email is what we have. Beyond that we have nothing — and that is not a figure of speech: the numbers we count cannot be tied to you.

Write to terje@huse.no and we will answer. If you believe we handle data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
